Entry Gates - Rainberry Lake Community has two 'barrier-pole' Entry gates, a Resident gate (right-lane) and a Visitor gate (left-lane). The Resident gate is opened by the use of an RFID Tag affixed to the windshield or headlight). Residents traveling in any vehicle without an RFID Tag must enter through the guard (left-hand lane). Anyone at the Resident's gate (right-hand lane) hailing the guard yelling "I live here" or "my Tag is not working" will be told to backup and enter the Visitor's gate lane. The guard will then check their ID before admitting them.
THE GUARD IS NOT ALLOWED TO OPEN THE RESIDENT'S GATE
The Visitor's gate is opened either by the Guard when on-duty or the CommuniKey Call-Box after hours.
Note: Large Trucks and Vehicles Pulling Trailers may only enter the community between 8 am and 8 pm and must enter through the guard
Exit Gates - Rainberry Lake Community has a double 'barrier-pole' Exit-Gate. The Exit gates will open automatically when an exiting vehicle approaches the gates
.
Drivers attempting to enter backwards through the open Exit Gates will be arrested by the Delray Beach Police Department.
Tail Gating - The Entry Gates are designed to close as soon as a vehicle is detected on the inside. In addition the gates remain open only for a brief time after opening. This means that the gates may close on any vehicle that takes too long to pass through or any vehicle attempting to 'tail-gate'. Residents are responsible for any damage caused by a member of their household, their guests, or anyone else entering at their pleasure.
Large Trucks and Vehicles Pulling Trailers - Large trucks and vehicles pulling trailers must enter the community when the guard is on-duty and must enter through the guard controlled gate (Visitor's Gate) as the Guard can manually hold this gate open for the vehicle to clear. These vehicles are not permitted to enter the community between 8pm and 8am when the guard is off-duty.
Callbox - During the day when the guard is on-duty, the Callbox (CommuniKey) is covered and the sign at the Callbox states: "Visitors Proceed to Guard Station" When the Callbox is uncovered, Visitors must use it to call a Resident who can open the Visitor Gate granting the Visitor access.
To use the Callbox, a Visitor can lookup a resident's Last Name by entering the first few letters of the name (first or last name) on the keypad at the bottom of the screen.
Once they locate the correct name, they can call the Resident by tapping on the name. When the resident answers they can converse and if the Resident wishes to grant access, they can press "1" on their phone keypad and the Visitor's Gate will open allowing the visitor to enter.
Optionally, the resident may have a 4 digit Directory Code which when entered will call the resident.
Obtaining RFID Tags - Rainberry Lake entry gate RFID Tags are available to residents from Joe (209-329-7746) or email RFID@rainberryvillas.com. If leaving a message, be sure to leave your name, Rainberry Villas address and a call-back phone number.
Tags are $20 each, cash-only. A limited number of Tags may be purchased for frequent-authorized-visitors. RFID Tags must be applied by an HOA authorized representative. These RFID Tags are assigned to a specific vehicle and cannot be transferred. They will be disabled if anyone attempts to remove them from the windshield or headlight. The HOA will disable Tags belonging to anyone that misuses the entrance security systems.
Note - Resident's must not attempt to enter the Resident's gate pulling a trailer. The RFID system will close the gate prematurely. All trailers must enter through the guard.

Cellphone Control of Entry Gate - AltaOpen (previously called OpenPath)
Rainberry Lake residents sometimes use taxis or rental cars, they may be driving a loaner, or are riding home with a friend. These vehicles are obviously not equipped with an RFID Tag so there is an optional system available for these residents to open the Resident's entrance gate when they arrive. This system is called AltaOpen.
Important: AltaOpen must not be used to open the gate remotely. That means, if you are not looking at the gate, you are not permitted to use AltaOpen.
AltaOpen is not a substitute for the RFID Tag security system. Residents without an RFID Tag on their regular vehicle(s) will be denied AltaOpen.
To utilize the AltaOpen system a resident must install the AltaOpen software application (app) on their Android or iPhone, and have their phone activated by the Administrator (RBL Rec Area Security). Note that only Residents of Rainberry Lake will be granted access to this system. This is not to be used for visitor access.
AltaOpen must NOT be used to open the gate until the entering vehicle is in position at the gate and the AltaOpen user is looking at the gate, thus monitoring the progress of the entering vehicle. AltaOpen must NOT be used to remotely admit visitors. Attempting to do so will be detected by the system and the account disabled. AltaOpen is a privilege, not a right.
For more information on this system you may download a copy of the AltaOpen Installation and Operation document by CLICKING HERE.
Residents interested in getting AltaOpen may send a request via email to AltaOpen@rainberryvillas.com. There is a limit of two (2) AltaOpen accounts per address.
The email should include:
1. The Resident's name and RBL address
2. The number of the cellphone on which they intend to install AltaOpen.
3. The email address for an email account that can be accessed on that cellphone.
Security - The Rainberry Lake Entry and Exit are monitored with numerous Security Cameras. Any attempt to force the Gates or disable the system will be recorded and the HOA will fine or prosecute the offenders. We ask that any Resident that witnesses another party attempting to 'crash' the Entry Gates to take the license number of the perpetrator (take a picture) and report the incident to Rainberry Rec Area Security (561) 469-0005.
